About the Author

The Author: Carolina M. Laborde graduated from law school at the Catholic University of Argentina and obtained an LL.M. degree from the University of Virginia. She has practiced law in Argentina and the United States, is qualified in Argentina and New York, and is an associate member of the Virginia State Bar. In 2005, she joined the IME Graduate School of the University of Karlsruhe (TH) as a doctoral student, with a scholarship from the German Research Foundation (DFG). Her dissertation was presented at the University of Freiburg in 2008.
