Eliminate Workplace Electrical Hazards, Master Systematic De-Energization, and Ensure Total NFPA 70E Compliance on Every Jobsite.
Working on or near energized industrial equipment carries zero margin for error. A single overlooked secondary feed, an improperly verified isolation point, or a misjudged arc flash boundary can lead to life-altering injuries, arc-blast fatalities, and severe regulatory citations. Ensuring complete jobsite safety requires strict procedural discipline, direct risk mitigation, and verified de-energization workflows.
Electrical Safety & LOTO Field Guide: The Practical Guide to Lockout/Tagout Procedures, Arc Flash Protection, and NFPA 70E Compliance for Technicians is a direct, field-ready reference manual engineered for technicians, electricians, safety officers, and facility supervisors. Stripping away dense regulatory legal jargon, this handbook translates complex OSHA and NFPA 70E safety mandates into clear, step-by-step field execution protocols.
What You Will Master Inside:-
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Core Protocols: The definitive 6-step de-energization sequence, complex multi-lock group lockout procedures, lockbox protocols, shift-change turnovers, and safe re-energization checklists.
-
Zero Energy State Verification: Test-before-touch methodologies, proper digital multimeter (DMM) safety ratings (CAT III / CAT IV), live-dead-live testing verification routines, and isolating stored mechanical, pneumatic, and capacitive energy.
-
Arc Flash Risk Assessment & Hazard Mitigation: Understanding incident energy parameters (cal/cm2), calculating Limited and Restricted approach boundaries, deciphering equipment arc flash warning labels, and executing safe work practices.
-
NFPA 70E Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Selecting PPE Category levels 1 through 4, understanding arc-rated (AR) clothing specifications, face shields, flash suits, voltage-rated rubber insulating gloves, and dielectric inspection cycles.
-
Energized Electrical Work Permits (EEWP): Determining when energized work is legally justified under OSHA, navigating exceptions, establishing electrically safe work conditions (ESWC), and executing required documentation workflows.
-
Field Hazard Control & Emergency Response: Mitigating shock and electrocution paths, identifying common panel-level blind spots, safe release of contact victims, and rapid emergency protocols.
Every section features practical checklists, quick-reference tables, equipment label guides, and actionable decision flowcharts designed for immediate application on the shop floor or jobsite. Whether you are leading a plant maintenance crew, performing routine switchgear servicing, or refreshing your safety credentials, this manual serves as an indispensable on-site safeguard.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
