John G. Harris intended to explain in this book the special techniques required to model the radiation and diffraction of elastic and surface waves. About the Author: John G. Harris was Professor Emeritus in the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign before his death in May 2006.
