In fair condition. Moderate wear to extremities. Rubbed corners and extremes. Light staining and discolorations to front board. Gilt finishing remains intact. A charming Victorian binding overall with whimsical details indicative of the era. Front flyleaf is loose but intact. Interior lightly toned with scattered foxing. Free of markings. Binding shaken but intact. Please see photos. An early edition of Edward Lear s charmingly illustrated and much-loved work. Edward Lear was an English artist, illustrator, author and poet, known for popularizing the genre of literary nonsense.
