Item description from seller

A Workshop Organised By the Citizens' Constitutional Forum, Suva, Fiji Islands, 14-15 August 1998. Foreword: A Month after Fiji's third constitution formally came into effect, the Citizens' Constitutional Forum (CCF) organised its first workshop on multiculturalism, entitled "Beyond the 1997 Constitution: Education for Multiculturalism". The resolution of Fiji's constitutional impasse and the unanimous adoption by Parliament of the multi-party negotiated 1997 Constitution reaffirmed in no uncertain terms that there was a national consensus that Fiji continue to evolve as a multiethnic society with a strong commitment to muliculturalism. 153 pages.
