The Edge of Redemption is far more than a remarkable story. It is a story that challenges the reader to engage subcultures that are often perceived as threatening—and to ask the question, who are the unreachable in my community? Rather than flee, we are called to reach out and offer Christ’s redemption to those who are on the edge of destruction.
 

Troy A. Evans (known as PE) was chasing the hip-hop dream; fame, fortune, and power could be his. He was sure he could get it all if gang violence or the law didn’t get him first. Then Christ stepped in through the most unlikely circumstances and brought about the most unlikely change.

 

Ten years later, PE continues to minister to the community that once was his prey. He is connecting with lives and seeing the miracle of his own redemption repeated and multiplied on the same mean streets that once enslaved him.

TROY A. EVANS (known as PE) is a consultant for churches, denominations, and networks interested in leadership development, urban ministry, and church planting. He serves as an urban missionary at The EDGE in the greater Grand Rapids area—focusing on reaching those in the hip-hop culture. He is also a go-to expert on gang prevention and intervention, providing support for law enforcement and community-based organizations both locally and nationally.
