Neuware - The field of science concerned with the interactions between water and ecological systems is known as ecohydrology. Such interactions occur in various water bodies like lakes or rivers, or on land within forests and deserts. The most prominent areas of research in the domain of ecohydrology include adaptation of living organisms with respect to their aquatic environment, transpiration and plant water use, feedback between ecological and hydrological cycle and impact of benthic plants and vegetation on stream flow. Ecohydrology studies the aquatic systems with a focus on how the structure and function of a system is affected by the water chemistry, geomorphology and hydrology. A significant area of study under this domain is the association of water availability and plant physiology. This book traces the progress of this field and highlights some of its key concepts and applications. While understanding the long-term perspectives of the topics, the book makes an effort in highlighting their impacts as a modern tool for the growth of the discipline. Students, researchers, experts and all associated with ecohydrology will benefit alike from this book.…
