Add to basketOne Thousand years ago the Scholar Mage Archais Loren helped imprison a creature from the Abyssal Dark that was set to conquer all the lands of the country of Helron, thus ending the War of Ascension. Earning him the name Archais Silverhand. But memories fade, leading the truths to fade into myths over time. But not all truths should be forgotten. And the myths ignored.
The Four Gods have gone mysteriously silent. Prayers are going unanswered, offerings are fruitless. And in their silence, darkness shall rise. As an ancient evil has risen once again and this time the whole world will be covered in its shadow.
Radrian Farr spends his days trying to survive the streets of the poor quarter of Jamaria City. Begging for coin, stealing food, and fighting for his life. Most days are spent avoiding his terrible home life; his harlot mother, whom he loves; and her abusive drunkard man friend; whom he despises. So he must go elsewhere for his family.
On the streets he has his gang of friends he calls The Ravens, a group he can rely on when he has nowhere else to go. But when his mother is afflicted by a disease that hasn’t been seen in years, Radrians love for her sets him down a path to hire a Stravoi; one of the world's magically Touched mages, to bond her and save her life. But where does a poor kid on the streets go to get money to accomplish such a thing; because magic is an expensive business? The risks he will be willing to take will set in motion events that will change his life and the face of the world forever.
Across the Jade Sea, Crole Vasali has spent the last twenty years of his life alongside the most powerful man in the country of Helron; the God-Emperor, Torlan Trask. But when he left his life as a naive farm boy, to follow a street preacher–who would one day become an Emperor, it should have had him reveling in the power and bounties of one of the privileged ones; known as the Faithful.
But he has one little problem, his conscience will not let him ignore the atrocities he sees daily. And when he learns the true secret of the God-Emperor’s power, it sets him down a path of treason and betrayal. But is it treason, when the ruler you follow is the true embodiment of evil?
Enleigh Wastron is running from her life. Running from an abusive father and the truth of living in the poor quarter of Jamaria City. She loves her friends, The Ravens, but there is a whole world out there for her to discover. And when the chance reveals itself, she grasps it and will show the world she is more than a quiet meek tomboy with red hair. Her heart burns with a passion as bright as her flame-red locks. But the world is dangerous, regardless of how tough you think you are.
In the forested mountains of the Northern Frost Mountains, Meepatakwa of the Amon Rhee forest people lives an isolated and serene existence in its deep, dark forests. Every day is filled with work, chores, and no play. And it's driving him crazy. So when this curious little creature of the woods decides to delve into the truths of the strange humans living in the south, the repercussions of his actions will destroy his people in the process, leaving him an outcast.
There is darkness and there is light, but the shades in between will shape the world's future. The outcasts of light will either prevent the eternal darkness of the Abyssal Dark from enveloping the land, or they will let the Light Eternal’s radiance slowly fade away forever.
