From the Author
Certainly there's an art to garden design but in order to become an artist, one must begin by learning the craft. "Easy Garden Design" is the craftsperson's recipe for dependable, successful gardens: What ingredients to get together, in what amounts, what to place first, where, what comes next, and how to finish it all off professionally. It's not the only way to design -- there are as many "right" ways to design as there are gardeners -- but it's a method that has served me well in my own garden and in hundreds of client gardens and landscapes. I think it will help you get the right plants put into the right places the first time 'round.
