In overall good used condition with only minor signs of handling and storage - boards slightly marked, edges rubbed and corners rounded. Internally clean. Binding tight and appears little read, no annotations or inscriptions - prize-plate to front pastedown dated 1899; toning to page-ends but text bright and clear throughout. Includes biographies on Dr. Arnold, Dr. Chalmers, Robert Hall, John Foster, Thomas Clarkson, Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, William Allen, Albert Durer, Hilmar Ernst Rauschenbusch, Blaire Pascal and Fenelon.
