An odd welcome in Ravalli, Montana - a bar brawl, a jail cell and a murder charge. Eagle and two other prisoners escape the cell, steal three horses and disappear into the rugged mountains. A letter containing evidence of a string of baffling crimes is hidden in the saddlebags of one of the stolen horses, and the owner is frantic to have it back.
