- Octavo, softcover bound in pictorial white wrappers with a black-and-white portrait of Walt Whitman on the front cover. There is some very light soiling & foxing to the covers. 55 & [1] pages, including a 2-page publisher's catalog. Illustrated with black-and-white plates, including portraits and a facsimile. Very good. In 1956 the Romanian Institute for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries issued this guide to the traveling exhibition of Whitmania prepared in 1955 by Charles E. Feinberg. The materials exhibited, which were provided by Feinberg and The Library of Congress, included photographs, books, manuscripts, proofs and foreign editions. The guide includes a catalog of these materials. Laid in is an English translation of Mihnea Gheorghiu's introductory essay "The Poet of Modern America".The text of the guide is in Romanian.
