Octavo, xxiv, 526 pages. In Good condition. Bound in full contemporary leather. Boards show some surface marks to covers, splitting to leather long front joint, and wear to spine edges and corners. Previous owner name in ink on spine. Text block has age toning to edges, and moderate plus age toning and foxing to pages throughout interiorly. Ink ownership inscriptions appear on title page and back free end page: "Wm. Rippey Raum". Also loose postcard addressed to "Mrs. Willhelma Thompson 212 West North Street Charles Town Jeff Co W. Va." Dr. William Cyrus Rippey Raum was born in Pennsylvania in 1805. He married Elizabeth Moody and had 10 children. He died on 17 Sep. 1863 in Charleston, West Virginia. MF consignment. 1356877.
