Most leadership books teach you how to become a better leader. This one teaches you how to survive a bad one.
You've seen him. The boss who knew the numbers were bad — and explained them away. The leader whose best people kept leaving while he called it loyalty. The one who apologized in the crisis and snapped back the moment the pressure lifted. You're not imagining it. And you're not alone.
Three thousand years ago, the most powerful man on earth received ten warnings, was offered ten exits, and chose ruin ten times — not from ignorance, but from pride. The Spirit of Pharaoh uses the most documented case of stubborn leadership in history to give you what you've been missing: the language for what you're living through, and a field manual for surviving it.
From the author of The Spirit of Saul — because not every destructive boss is a Saul. A Saul is threatened by your success. A Pharaoh is threatened by your truth.
Inside you'll learn:
- The Hardening Cycle — how an ordinary heart turns to stone, one refused truth at a time
- The Ten Seasons of Stubborn Leadership — the predictable schedule every declining organization keeps, so you can locate yours and see what's coming
- Working in Goshen — how to stay whole inside a declining system without it getting inside you
- The Moses Method — how to tell the truth to someone who punishes it, with clean hands, every time
- When to leave, and how — and why you should expect chariots when you do
- The Leadership Mirror — so the disease stops with you when the power is finally yours
Written for the employee who can see the pattern but can't explain it, the manager watching good people leave, the truth-teller who somehow became the problem, and the person deciding whether to stay, speak, or go.
A hardened heart begins as a choice and ends as a condition.
Every season before the tenth still has an exit. This book will help you find yours.
