Tall thin octavo, 200pp., illustrated. A clean, sound example in the original spiral binding, unfortunately lacking 2 leaves (pp. 23-24 and pp. 61-62; partial remains of the latter are present), otherwise very good in the original comb binding, with some leaves partially detached, but holding. A few faint marginal stains. A fantastic volume, filled with portrait headshots and brief but illuminating details about actors and other performers living in the Detroit area, and offering their services to local media. All of the individuals list their talents or accomplishments, while most also list their union or agency affiliations. The directory would certainly have been used by businesses looking for advertising models and actors, als probably also by Hollywood for any films shot on location in southern Michigan. Interspersed throughout in several places are some paid advertisements, both for talent and also for ancillary industries, such as props, photography, sound, etc. Not separately listed in OCLC, and we found no similar directories for the Detroit area in commerce as of this listing. Genuinely scarce.
