The three volumes in the famous English Country Houses series cover the period 1715-1840. They start at the time when English baroque, as practiced by Christopher Wren, was in decline and end with the houses of the reigns of George III, the Prince Regent and William IV. The author chose the houses that best illustrate the progression of styles and decorations over this period. The first two books in the collection are second editions (revised copies published 1965 and 1963}, whereas the third book in the series is a first edition published in 1958. The dust jackets have tears and creases in multiple places, particularly the second book - the dust jacket is in very poor condition with large tears in multiple places. I would suggest shipping the books in three separate packages to minimize shipping costs.
