Break Free from OCD Using the Power of Bilateral Stimulation
Struggling with relentless intrusive thoughts, exhausting compulsions, or the overwhelming anxiety that comes with obsessive-compulsive disorder? Traditional approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) work for many—but not for everyone. If you've tried other methods without full relief, or if you sense that something deeper drives your symptoms, this groundbreaking workbook offers a different path to recovery.
Discover the Trauma-OCD Connection
Research reveals that approximately 70% of people with OCD report significant trauma exposure, and childhood trauma survivors are 5-9 times more likely to develop OCD. This workbook bridges clinical EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) research with practical self-help techniques, addressing the root causes that other OCD resources ignore.
What You'll Learn:
→ The Butterfly Hug and other self-administered bilateral stimulation techniques proven to calm the nervous system
→ How to create internal resources including Safe Place visualization, Container exercises, and protective figures
→ Step-by-step protocols for processing OCD triggers, catastrophic fears, and core beliefs
→ The Flash-Forward Technique to neutralize worst-case-scenario thinking
→ Subtype-specific strategies for contamination OCD, harm OCD, checking, Pure O, scrupulosity, and more
→ How to combine EMDR techniques with behavioral practice for comprehensive recovery
→ Relapse prevention tools and long-term maintenance strategies
Includes Over 100 Hands-On Exercises:
This is not just a book to read—it's a workbook designed for active engagement. With trigger mapping worksheets, processing logs, belief transformation exercises, grounding protocols, and progress tracking tools, you'll build practical skills session by session.
A Trauma-Informed Approach
Unlike workbooks that focus solely on behavioral techniques, this resource addresses the nervous system dysregulation, negative core beliefs, and unprocessed experiences that may fuel your OCD cycle. Learn to regulate your body, reprocess disturbing material, and transform your relationship with intrusive thoughts.
Built on Research, Designed for Self-Help
Drawing from clinical studies comparing EMDR to traditional OCD treatments, adapted protocols from leading EMDR clinicians, and the latest neuroscience on bilateral stimulation, this workbook translates professional techniques into accessible self-guided exercises.
This Workbook Is For You If:
→ ERP felt too overwhelming or didn't fully resolve your symptoms
→ You suspect trauma underlies your OCD patterns
→ You want body-based techniques that work with your nervous system
→ You're looking for an alternative or complement to traditional OCD treatment
→ You want practical exercises you can do at home between therapy sessions
Take the first step toward quieting the noise in your mind. Your brain has the capacity to heal—this workbook shows you how to activate it.
