Beautiful tinted lithographed frontispiece, vignette to title page, 8 double page coloured maps (Mappemonde en 2 Hemispherres, Carte de l'Europe, la France, l'Asie, l'Afrique, l'Amerique Septentrionale, l'Amerique Meridionale, l'Oceanie [Australie]), and a double page coloured Tableau Uranographique et Cosmographique, 1 plate of colours, numerous text illustrations, decorative and pictorial headpieces, circa 504 pages, each section with its own half-title and title page, bound in full 19th century half calf over marbled sides, gilt rules and lettering to spine. Slightly rubbed at head and tail of spine and corners, spine faded, an occasional pale fox spot, small closed tear to 3 margins with old paper repair, 3 lower margins strengthened with paper strip, tiny piece torn off 1 lower corner, occasional fingermarks to margins, heavy in a few places.
