Item description from seller

Early reprint (first copyright 1859). Paged as i-vi, 5-314 pages. Hardcover: H 18.25cm x L 13.25cm. Original cloth sunned/stained at spine and front board; spine ends frayed with several surface chips to cloth; spine's gilt stamping quite dulled; slender wear along front board's fore-edge. Endpapers toned with some soiling; past owner's circa 1870s blind-stamp "Stonewall Grange 323 Monroe County, Miss" thrice impressed upon front free endpaper and once on rear free endpaper; frontispiece's blank verso has same owner's [M.A. Jones] near page-long ink inscription and quaint "return [this book] to me" poem along with personal name card laid-in. Foxing prevalent throughout. Binding is still firm. A good antiquarian copy.
