Trade Paperback. Slight crease to corner back cover. As well as being an important poet, Dylan Thomas was also a distinguished writer of prose, and his letters - sad, comic, begging, bawdy - bring him vividly to life. Thomas devoted much energy to his correspondence, and his letters - to friends, lovers, literary contemporaries, agents, editors, and, above all, his passionate outpouings to his wife Caitlin - sparkle with wit and shrewd self-analysis. Throughout his correspondence Thomas gleeful word-play is given full rein. His self-conscious posturing, his delight in friendship, and his concern with language are all on display. Paul Ferri's meticulous edition of The Collected Letters performs a notable service to the memory of this complex and ultimately tragic personality. 984 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
