Paperback. New town. New job. Unwanted magic. And a puppy she definitely didn't ask for.Emaline Bo Vesper moves to Gwenwick Creek for a fresh start. However, Emaline's do-over quickly begins to unravel when a graffiti artist decides Emaline's business name, Sparkling Bitches Detective Agency, needs "improving" and replaces the B with a W. In a climate where the majority fear magic, and Emaline is hiding magical abilities-a gift that could make her a target-the graffiti artist's attention could ruin what little life she has left. Without warning, the quirky coffee shop owner, Gianna Moore, inserts herself into Emaline's life, insisting on unsolicited friendship. Gianna pulls her into a deadly mystery. Now someone is watching Emaline. If Emaline wants to survive long enough to build her new life, she'll have to allow herself to become a part of the community and accept herself as a gemphagist. Because whoever is killing people in Gwenwick Creek might come looking for her next. Emaline Bo Vesper is trying very hard not to stand out. Unfortunately, between the questionable name of her detective agency, an overfriendly barista, and a murder investigation, that plan is falling apart fast. This item is printed on demand.
