Affascinante carta del Ducato di Ferrara inserita dal Vrients nella sua edizione del "Theatrum Orbium Terrarum" di Abraham Ortelius, edita a partire dal 1608. Alla morte di Ortelius, nel 1598, Vrients acquist� i rami delle sue carte per ristampare il suo atlante a cui vennero aggiunte alcune carte. Questa del Ferrarese � proprio una di queste, realizzate appositamente per la nuova avventura editoriale. La carta prende come riferimento il lavoro di Giovanni Battista Aleotti, che nel 1603, aveva realizzato una sua rappresentazione del Ferrarese. Margini laterali ridotti ma complessivamente ottimo stato di conservazione. Piega centrale editoriale. Seller Inventory # ST29383
