Print on Demand. Philosophy is our attempt to describe the world and ourselves within it. It is not just a detached activity of the mind, but rather something embedded in our daily lives. It concerns the practical quest for understanding and explaining everything from the immediate physical realities to the most ephemeral thoughts and emotions that cross our minds. This book argues that a true understanding of the human experience must include an appreciation of the role of consciousness and perception in shaping our understanding of the world. It challenges the popular view that the world is a static, objective place, and argues instead that it is a dynamic and evolving process that is constantly being shaped by our interactions with it. By bridging the gap between philosophical theory and everyday life, the author presents an accessible and thought-provoking examination of the fundamental questions that have preoccupied philosophers for centuries. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

The husbandman and the mechanic-their daily toil directed to proximate end and purpose - must be a concern of philosophy. Nor can the husbandman and the mechanic, even though they may have neither conception of nor interest in Idealism, Realis'm, Empiricism, Pragmatism, or any of the rival schools, be really unconcerned with philosophy.
