About this title

Synopsis

Drops of Wisdom exist in the moments when the Divine speaks through us. Our human egos can repeat, embroider, and even expand upon ideas they contain. But, that spark of Insight, Beauty, Truth and Grace is not born of the ego, but of Divine consciousness.

In this rich and insightful book, Rick Moss, PhD, has integrated these Drops of Wisdom, combining the timeless wisdom of brilliant and enlightened teachers with his 30 years of experience as an intuitive counselor and international trainer. Drops of Wisdom is both a Spiritual Manual to positively change one's own life, and a unique and practical tool to help others go within to find solutions to life's challenges.

Overview

Drops of Wisdom focuses on 15 of the most important emotional, psychological and spiritual subjects. Each chapter offers a wealth of practical techniques, informative examples, and unique questionnaires. Chapters include:

Great-Love
Healing the Hurt Child Within
The Creator Perspective

Also, within the book are exercises, visualizations and self-examination questions to support the reader in having their own internal experience.

An Excerpt

The Difference between Great-Love and Egoic-love.

Great-Love heals. Great-Love transforms. It is God in action. Into dark spaces, Great-Love brings Light. Into shame and judgment, it brings forgiveness. Great-Love is a mother's unconditional embrace and a father's unreserved steadfastness.

Great-Love is felt when our dog greets us upon our return, and is felt when our cat comes to sit on our lap when we are crying. Great-Love can be experienced through deep friendships, selfless service, intimate relationships and through immersion in Nature.

When brought to painful childhood memories lodged in the unconscious, Great-Love is the energy that clears, frees, and rights them. It releases the past and opens the door to the present. It judges nothing. It includes everything.

Our ego knows nothing about Great-Love. Its version of love (with a lowercase 'l') is focused on getting what it wants. Our ego's version of love is transactional; it keeps score: I give this, you provide that. Ego-based love is about what our ego gets from something. The more it gets what it wants, the more it loves what it receives.
