Paperback. Robert Eugene Perry's thought-words take you on a fluid journey of discovery. When "sudden smile breaks / my lips apart," I dare you not to smile with him. As water flows, so do these poems, naturally and seemingly without effort. But not only water. The pages of this collection are also filled with breath, in both the imagery and in the physical shapes the poems take. Shapes which allow room for the reader to breathe as a meditator breathes. You'll find both joy and sadness in these pages. Darkness lurks, as in the poignant "Inheritance." But always there is light, illuminating both the external and internal worlds of the poet. Reading Perry's poems is good for you.
