For Tove, a literature graduate serving diesel and "sad" hot dogs in a remote Norwegian village, the world is fading alongside her mother's memory. Drawn into this world of vibrant creativity, Tove meets Christina, a talented art director who awakens a part of Tove's identity she never knew existed. As Tove transitions from serving beer to writing scripts for the series The Lightbearers, she finds herself caught between the heartbreaking decline of her family home and the electric energy of the Tokyo animation industry.
