About the Author
Rieko Oka is a pattern designer from Hokkaido. While at Tokai University Graduate School, she replicated the wallpapers of William Morris to learn how to construct patterns, soon creating her own wallpaper called “Kitaguni No Kabegamimoyou (Pattern on wallpaper from Northern country).” Rieko expanded to fabrics because they have more use in everyday life and started to create textiles under the name “ten to sen Moyo Seisakujo” in 2008. Her original patterns include themes of scenery, seasonal changes, and daily life. Rieko’s products are available for purchase at exhibitions, select stores, the “ten to sen Moyo Seisakujo” website, and her own store. She is based in Hokkaido, Japan.
