Elara survived the fall of Aethelgard, but survival has only thrown her into a deeper war. With the Elder dragon-god Nyrax burning inside her chest, she and her crew cross a broken world of ash, toxic mist, ruined kingdoms, and ancient magic in search of the scattered soul-shards that could decide the fate of the realm.
But the next shard has fallen into The Below—a hidden subterranean civilization ruled by fear, guarded by deadly warriors, and powered by the same divine fire Elara must claim before the Elven King Kaelen reaches it first.
There, Elara finds more than danger.
She finds Mila.
Her twin sister survived the collapse of Oakhaven, but she is no longer the helpless girl Elara remembers. Mila has built a new life in the dark, protected by Zev and the Deep Walkers who gave her shelter when the surface world failed her. To Elara, the shard is the key to stopping Kaelen’s empire. To Mila, stealing it could destroy the only home she has left.
As enemies close in from above and below, Elara must choose between saving the world and saving the people standing right in front of her. Every victory costs lives. Every shard makes Nyrax stronger. And every use of her growing power pulls her closer to becoming something no longer fully human.
With Kaelen’s Vanguard Sentinels hunting her, the Deep Walkers ready for war, and her own friends beginning to fear what she is becoming, Elara must decide how far she is willing to go before the power inside her consumes everything she loves.
Dragon’s Tithe Book 2 is a dark epic fantasy packed with dragons, god-shards, underground kingdoms, dangerous magic, found family, betrayal, sisterhood, survival, and a heroine forced to carry the weight of a broken world.
