What if your greatest gift was the one thing you thought was wrong with you?
Meet Ember — a sweet little purple dragon with a big problem. Every dragon breathes fire. Every dragon except him.
He huffed. He puffed. He tried with everything he had. But all that came out were tiny smoke rings.
At dragon school, the other dragons roared with flames while Ember watched from the side, whispering to himself, "Why can't I do it too?"
Then one wise grandmother, one dark cave, one frightened little rabbit — and one extraordinary moment — changed everything.
Because Ember didn't breathe fire.
He breathed wonder.
The Dragon Who Forgot How to Fire is a breathtaking watercolor picture book for children ages 3–10 that gently teaches one of the most powerful lessons a child can learn: You don't have to be like everyone else to be extraordinary.
With lush, magical illustrations bursting with color and heart, this book has already found its way into classrooms, homes, and therapy settings — because it speaks directly to every child who has ever felt different, left out, or "not enough."
What's Inside This Book:
A Magical Story — Ember's heartwarming journey from self-doubt to self-discovery, told in gentle, read-aloud language perfect for ages 3–10.
Beautiful Watercolor Illustrations — Every page is a feast for little eyes, filled with enchanted forests, golden sparks, blooming flowers, and a purple dragon who will steal your heart.
Parent & Teacher SEL Guide — Built right into the book. Covers 5 key Social Emotional Learning competencies with ready-to-use discussion questions:
Readers of The Dot, Beautiful Oops!, The Most Magnificent Thing, and What Do You Do With a Problem? will absolutely fall in love with Ember.
"Your spark is already inside you. You just have to find it." — Joenary D. Silao, Educator, Author & SEL Advocate
