A Dragon Shared is a wild ride, filled with action-packed illustrations and an important message about kindness, inclusivity, and friendship.
With a diverse cast of characters, it's a must-have for your child's bookshelf and school library! The story of Aaron and the mysterious knight will have kids laughing, cheering, and learning valuable lessons about treating others with kindness. So come on, grab your armour, and let's find a dragon!
Fans of We All Belong, Look Up! and Clean Up! will love A Dragon Shared!
Kindness Activities and Comprehension: A Dragon Shared includes fun drawing activity and puzzles, as well as useful questions you can ask children about what happened in the story:
* How do you think the mysterious knight felt when Aaron told her that she can’t play with him?
* Why did Aaron run back to the mysterious knight after he found the big, green dragon?
* How do you think Aaron and the mysterious knight felt when they were sharing a dragon-ride together?
Inclusive Recreation & Disability Awareness: A child with a prosthetic leg is a central character in A Dragon Shared. We want to help children with prosthetic legs see themselves within the books they read. Their physical disability is part of who they are, but it isn't core to the story itself - the child's personality is what makes them truly special.
Multicultural representation and inclusivity: Like all Goss Castle books, we do our best to create books that help all children see themselves within the stories. Characters from Black, African, Caribbean, Asian, White, Biracial, Mixed Race, Indian, European and many others heritages feature within our books.
Age-appropriate: This kid's book will be adored by children of all ages, and grown ups too. Ideal way to gently introduce conversations about kindness, sharing, disabilities, gender and inclusion with children of all ages, from preschoolers, toddlers through to grade 3 and primary school.
A Dragon Shared - making the world a better place by sharing and being kind.
The book includes a section at the end to help spark conversations with children about sharing and inclusion, dealing with things such as 'What is sharing?' and 'Do you have to share everything?'
When we share and play with others, we get to experience new perspectives.
