Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a small village, filled with quirky characters, far from any semblance of urban life? Come along on a journey to the town of Downtown, learn how it got its name, meet some of the people who live there and experience a life where everyone moves just a wee bit slower. The people of Downtown have perfected the fine art of entertaining themselves -- and each other -- during the long winter months, when life in this sleepy lakeside resort seems to come to a standstill. But perceptions can be misleading, and winters can be pretty raucous indeed. Downtown is quintessential small-town America, where people know and care about their neighbors, where family trees are likely to resemble family wreaths and where life in the slow lane is very scenic, but often passes through some pretty unexpected curves.
