A man haunted by the past returns decades later to his childhood home seeking answers to how the mistakes were made...
Thus begins the tale-this origin story to the Looking For Jimmy trilogy of the borderline cast of characters from: Walter Curmudgeon, Warsocki, Jimmy, Señor Agapē, Andre and Dubois.
With in-depth historical context and twist from the vision of millions of buffalo and the many and varied tribes of the Great Plains, to notes from the Lewis and Clark Expedition, to the cowboys and Indians and the wars, to the building of the Union Pacific Railroad across the desolate Nebraska wasteland, to the boisterous Omaha stockyards and the explosive creation of the massive meat packing industry that rivaled Chicago with the immigrants from everywhere, and the legacy of the big city bosses and the criminal underworld's impact across America, to the present gauntlet of chaos and confusion we live in today's present with the curious dialogues and personal anecdotes from the characters' own back stories and their own family's mythologies, lies, facts, and truth that pervade and abound in this compelling work of fiction.
With sweat, blood, madness, tears and laughter-Down and Out in Omaha delivers it all.
