What if reaching more people for Christ wasn't as complicated as we've made it?
For more than twenty-five years, pastors, Sunday School teachers, and small-group leaders have turned to You Can Double Your Class in Two Years or Less for one simple reason: it works.
Rather than offering gimmicks or the latest church-growth fad, Josh Hunt presents a practical, biblical strategy for building healthy, growing, disciple-making groups. The goal isn't simply larger classes. The goal is fulfilling the Great Commission by making disciples through vibrant, caring, reproducing small groups.
At the heart of the book is the memorable T.I.G.E.R. model—a simple framework that any teacher or group leader can begin applying immediately:
T — Teach a halfway decent lesson every week. You don't have to be Chuck Swindoll. You simply need to communicate God's Word clearly and faithfully. Great teaching is the foundation of healthy groups.
I — Invite every member and every prospect to every fellowship every month. Relationships are built outside the classroom as well as inside it. Consistent invitations create consistent growth.
G — Give Friday nights to Jesus. Invest your life in people. Hospitality, laughter, friendship, and genuine community create the environment where disciples grow.
E — Encourage every member into ministry. Healthy groups aren't built around one gifted leader—they flourish when every believer discovers and uses his or her spiritual gifts.
R — Reproduce new groups. The ultimate measure of a healthy group isn't how large it becomes but whether it develops new leaders and launches new groups that reach even more people.
Throughout the book you'll discover practical, field-tested ideas on:
- Creating lessons that people actually remember
- Recruiting and developing new leaders
- Building genuine community through fellowship
- Assimilating new people into your group
- Using outreach that feels natural rather than awkward
- Creating a team instead of doing ministry alone
- Reproducing new groups without losing momentum
- Turning an ordinary Bible class into a disciple-making movement
Filled with memorable stories, practical illustrations, biblical principles, and decades of ministry experience, You Can Double Your Class in Two Years or Less has encouraged thousands of leaders to believe that healthy growth is not only possible—it is attainable.
Whether you lead a Sunday School class, a home Bible study, a community group, or a discipleship group, this book will give you a clear roadmap for helping your group grow in numbers, in relationships, and most importantly, in spiritual maturity.
If you've ever wondered whether your class could reach more people, develop more leaders, and make more disciples, this book will show you how.
