Vaughan spent over forty years pastoring believers stuck in exactly this place. He learned the biblical reason why. And he built a proven six-step framework that breaks what willpower alone can't touch. There is a difference between sin and iniquity. Most believers never learn the distinction, and it costs them their freedom.Sin is something you commit. Iniquity is something you become bent by. The Hebrew word awon describes a condition: a warping of the soul when sin is repeated, normalized, and passed from one generation to the next. Scripture mentions iniquity more than 270 times. Yet most Christians have never been taught how deeply it shapes their lives, or how completely Christ provided a way out. You've confessed. You've repented. So why does the same struggle keep coming back?Steven learned the answer through his father's alcoholism, the patterns he inherited, and years spent trying to outrun damage that had to be confronted. He traces how iniquity bends the soul, travels through family lines, and quietly takes dominion over lives meant to be free. The Six-Step Process for Breaking Generational Iniquity: 1. Confess the bent, not just the behavior2. Forgive those who passed the pattern to you3. Renounce the inheritance and declare it has no dominion4. Replace the lie with God's truth5. Receive Cleansing under the blood of Jesus6. Return to Lordship and align with Christ's authorityThis book is for you if: - You love God but can't escape certain patterns no matter how hard you try- You've noticed the same struggles in your parents, grandparents, or children- You've been told to "just stop sinning" and you know it's not that simple- You're a pastor or small group leader looking for a biblical framework for people who are stuck- You want more than forgiveness. You want healing and restored dominion.Every chapter includes guided prayers, declarations, and application questions for personal study, small groups, and pastoral counseling.Steven D. Vaughan is a pastor with over forty years of ministry experience who has walked with countless believers through breaking generational iniquity. He writes as a fellow traveler who learned these truths the hard way."You can stop committing a sin. But iniquity must be dealt with. It must be identified, confessed, and placed under the blood of Jesus. Until it is, it continues to shape the soul."The cycle can be broken. The bent can be straightened.
