Synopsis:

Enjoy this fantastic spin-off to the timeless classic series ASTERIX, translated and distributed for the first time in North America.

Dogmatix and his fine furry (or feathery!) friends are unstoppable - indomitable - in 52 B.C.E. And they stand up to the Roman invaders, like General Labienus and his pack of dogs. Lutetia will not be completely conquered!

About the Authors: Matthieu Choquet was born on 10 April 1980 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France. He is a writer, known for Lastman (2016), Miraculous: The First Saga (2015) and Zak Storm (2016).

Rene Goscinny was born in Paris in 1926. After growing up in Argentina, he came to America where he shared a studio with future Mad magazine co-founder Harvey Kurtzman and collaborators Will Elder and Jack Davis. In 1959, he founded the magazine Pilote which premiered what was to become the most successful comic series anywhere: Asterix. He died suddenly of cardiac arrest in 1977 at the age of 51.

Albert Uderzo was born in France 1927 to Italian Immigrants. In 1959 Goscinny and Uderzo became editor and artistic director (respectively) of Pilote magazine. Their creation, Asterix became a runaway success. After Goscinny's death in 1977, 26 volumes of Asterix were complete, Uderzo continued to write and illustrate the Asterix books on his own, publishing 8 volumes. The cover credits still read "Goscinny and Uderzo." He retired in 2011 but still oversees Asterix and the current publications by Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad.

Philippe Fenech was born on April 1st 1976, in Montpellier. He decided to become a cartoonist after reading Asterix... And as a comic book author, he signed in 2003 with the publisher Soleil. 4 series were born: Tuff et Koala, a series for children with Curd Ridel at the script, Anatole et compagnie, a humoristic series with Nicolas Mitric at the script, then L'empire des Mecchas, a science fiction series with Téhy at the script and finally, since 2007 Leo, Passion Rugby, scripted by Loïc Nicoloff. In 2021, he was entrusted with the co-direction of "Dogmatix and the Indomitables," which was an immediate success.
