About this Item
This 4.5 x 5.75 inch, 140 page hardcover book is a 1909 printing of this title by the Penn Publishing Company as indicated by that date on the title page. The copyright page indicates 1904 for this title. This copy is in very good condition with the green cloth and black decorative floral design and white lettering on front and spine all clean, but with the white title on spine somewhat faded but fully readable. The interior text pages are in at least very good condition and probably near fine, as there is no damage or markings to be seen and the pages are crisp, the corners sharp, and with four additional pages of advertisements at the rear. The author published several works on dogs and this one is highlighted by several black-and-white illustrations of dog breeds and several sketches of dog houses. A handsome little item with instruction for training, with again several illustrations for teaching the dog to sit up and beg, removing a person's hat from a person's head, and shutting a door. The book concludes with common ailments and parasites with several pictures of insects, including the dog tick. 140 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-682
