24.5cm, xiv,734p, some maps torn (as usual), half bound in crimson morocco,raised black and gilt decorated bands, gilt extra border decorations in the panels, gilt titles, red cloth boards,some minor wear, During this period some government publications were bound in a presentation binding. Typically 10or 12 copies were done; one or two for the author, one for assistants, one for the King's Printer, one for the Minister, etc. These bindings had a somewhat consistent style. While the practice continued in some departments the binding in modern times is a rather sad maroon buckram. Seller Inventory # 43660
