Print on Demand. This book uncovers viewpoints within the Church of England, through the era of the Thirty-nine Articles, as the church set about establishing its identity and doctrine. The author examines how these articles emerged from a rich tapestry of influences, including scripture, early church writings, and even ancient secular Roman law. The writers further argue that a specific examination of the articles themselves, in conjunction with other documents from this period, provides special insights into the religious dynamics of the era, and the emergent ecclesiastical structures which continue to define the Church of England to this day. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
