Print on Demand. This book delves into the origins and beliefs of a particular Christian denomination. The author details its history, tracing the movement's roots back to the Methodist revivals of the 18th century and highlighting the pivotal moment when a group of preachers and members broke away from the Methodist Episcopal Church in the 1850s, forming a new denomination. The book carefully outlines the core doctrines of this church, including its emphasis on entire sanctification, its commitment to a free-seat system, and its resistance to worldly influences such as secret societies and the use of alcohol. The book explores the distinctive practices of the denomination, such as its system of classes and class meetings, its guidelines for marriage and divorce, and its views on dress and entertainment. It also provides a comprehensive overview of the church's governance, outlining the roles of the general conference, annual conferences, and other official bodies. The bookââ â¢s insights into this denominationââ â¢s unique history and practices offer a valuable perspective on a vital chapter in American religious history. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
