Hardback. In this excellent volume we have an author who carries his reader along a path of absorbing interest, for his book is an exciting adventure from cover to cover. The much-travelled Doctor has a talisman that can take him into every human heart, and before which even language and racial difficulties disappear. His contacts have an ever-changing background, for we travel with him from the frozen tips of the Matterhorn to the hallowed places of the Holy Land. He is always a good companion - one who grips us with a narrative that never grows stale, and uplifts our hearts with his own spiritual optimism. Illustrated. Previous owner name and address sticker to inside cover. Browning to end pages. Wear and tear to D/J. Some small pieces missing from D/J.
