About the Author: Laurie Hendry Graybar eloquently uses her own southern upbringing to give her novel OFF THE DOCK life. She is a fifth generation native of Taylor County, a small rural community outside of Tallahassee, Florida. Laurie graduated from Florida State University, and became a teacher. She was elected "Teacher of the Year" in Clay County in her third year as a teacher. After receiving an adult diagnosis of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactive disorder), she learned first hand about the importance of creative people allowing their curiosity to take on a life of its own. She lives in Tallahassee, Florida with her husband Ben and their two sons. It's her hope that her writing will encourage people to jump from their docks, figuratively and literally.
