Nobody marries with divorce in mind. So, if your marraige breaks down, we are disillusioned, upset and unprepared. But we have to face difficult decisions. The author steers us calmly and sympathetically and in the right order, through what can be a "minefield". On the way she transforms the awful legalese and officialese into plain English. Case histories and a broad insight into how courts make their decisions - especially regarding the children, the home and finances - help us appreciate what to expect in our own circumstances. Tax considerations are dealt with fully. Jill Black hopes that, by giving readers a greater grasp of the overall picture, her book may short-circuit difficulties and at the same time complement the work of solicitors. She is herself a practising barrister specialising in famliy law. Couple of tiny slight creases to cover. Tiny pen dot to inside cover.(We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. Academic, Scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.). …
