Stapled card covers, small octavo, 49pp. A little wear to card covers, else very good. Looks at capability development - how, in modern land warfare, advances in technology have offered fleeting opportunities to develop a capability edge, and concludes that it is more likely that the constant evolution of tactics is shaped more by the thoughtful or clever recombination and readaption of existing technologies, than by the emergence of some new technology. Also examines the contention that tactcial innovation for mid-intensity land combat has slowed, stalled or stopped with the coming to the fore of non-state players and their ability to deploy defences in a fashion and power that had previously been the exclusive domain of nation-state forces.
