Undated but 1733 (ESTC) Slim 4to., contemporary half-calf over marbled boards, spine with five raised bands, contrasting label, decorative gilt title and decorative dentelles, marbled endpapers, half-title, publisher s advert and final blank present, viii, 9-72pp., bookplate of Marshall Laird to front endpaper, torn bookplate to front pastedown. Very skilled reback with original spine relaid, light rubbing to boards and edges, light foxing to endpapers but otherwise clean tight copy in good condition. Sir John Colbatch was a Member of the College of Physicians and an apothecary who experimented with various medicines, causing some controversy in medical circles, but was a champion of the poor, sick and needy.
