If you are about to take over a family business — or already have — you have probably discovered that no business school prepared you for the part that is hardest: leading people who knew you before you were the boss, making decisions your predecessor would have made differently, and figuring out how to honor what was built while building what comes next. Disruptive Successor is the book written for exactly that moment.
Jonathan Goldhill knows this experience from both sides. As a fourth-generation successor who watched his family's business flourish for 80 years but fail to continue to the fourth generation, and as a coach who has helped hundreds of next-generation leaders navigate the same crossroads, he built a framework that does something most business books never do: it gives you permission to lead as yourself. The 7Ps framework inside this book is not a set of someone else's rules. It is a structure for discovering your own.
