Undated but c.1929. 12mo., maroon clothbound hardback gilt, with gilt lettering and decorations to upper cover, in unclipped pictorial dust jacket; 253pp + 2pp publisher's catalogue. Clean copy with no previous ownership inscriptions or annotation. Light browning to edges, short closed tears to top and foot of rear inner hinge, light scuffing to board edges, dust jacket a little edgeworn, a little foxing to flaps. Overall VG/VG. The Chaucer Bookshop is situated in a beautiful 18th Century building inside Canterbury's city walls. The building was originally one house but was established as a bookshop in 1956. The adjoining property was also later acquired and the bookshop greatly extended. Amongst the wide range of books (on 2 floors) you will find art, architecture, history, English literature, topography, travel, food and wine, railways and many more. We have a variety of original prints and maps for sale and a selection of modern First Editions and fine bindings. We also stock a comprehensive range of Fine Art greetings cards and wrapping paper.
