"George MacDonald was one of the three or four greatest men of the nineteenth century." — G.K. Chesterton

The MacDonald Legacy: George MacDonald wasn't just a writer — he was a literary catalyst. His Victorian home hosted Alfred Tennyson, William Thackeray, and John Ruskin. He encouraged Lewis Carroll to publish Alice in Wonderland. Most importantly, his ideas about imagination and faith provided the philosophical framework for modern fantasy literature.
