The book pragmatically addresses reference choice (i.e., anaphors) in Punjabi by examining implicature within the Neo-Gricean approach, with comparative insights drawn from Chinese anaphora studies. It also critically introduces the well-known Centering Theory as a computational framework for understanding anaphors at the discourse level.
