A comparative study of female domestic and Bidi workers. 6. Concluding remarks and suggestions. Bibliography. Appendix. Informal sector is an important feature of the most of the developing nations of Africa Latin America and Asia. Women constitute a bulk in the large informal sector of the developing world. Naturally they represent the bulk of the informal sector labour supply. They work at a low wage rate less than what received by the male workers for the same work. This book gives an exposition of women engaged in informal sector activities. Two case studies of women workers engaged in domestic chores and bidi rolling activities have been made. A comparative study of female domestic and bidi workers has also been undertaken to attempt an economic model for valuation of domestic and bidi workers. 175 pp.…
