About the Author: Ian Morton has been modelling for more years than he cares to admit to and has written books on various aspects of model railways, ranging from baseboards to Digital Command Control. He is also a regular contributor to Hornby Magazine. He believes it has never been easier to build a model railway as demonstrated by his 'Shake-the-Box' layout, built from ready to use items, serialised in Hornby Magazine and a similar layout constructed for a DVD.
